Welcome to STEP (Summer Themed Entertainment Project), a student-run passion project created to give students hands-on experience, get us connected, and have professional portfolio pieces by the end of the project. Because many internships were canceled due to the pandemic, we wanted to give students an opportunity to stay busy and learn how to work in a themed entertainment environment. We had students and recent grads of all disciplines participating with project assignments aimed at what they want to do. By August 2020, our team designed two themed park lands filled with attractions, food, retail, and more.

We started working in May and we will be working on this until August. I am proud to be project director with Mike Sturman and work with over 60 students of all disciplines! As project director,  I oversaw 12 teams of 70 students, managed our LinkedIn account, facilitated our park story, connected with our professional advisors, managed our schedule and deliverables, and contributed to land development. I also wrote a lot of copy for the project as well as coordinated with our 16 professional mentors.
