Petrified is UCSD's second haunted house. The theme revolved around witchs' cabin deep in a forest. Guests had to navigate through a forest, camping grounds, and the cabin itself before facing the Forest God.

I held several positions on this haunt, including surpervisor, technical director, ART (animatronic reality team) lead, and lighting designer. In these roles, I provided assistance to the project directors and other leads of the project when needed. I also interfaced with the University Events Office, the venue, and University Centers tech crew in order to keep everyone on the same page. Working with Sarah Litto, we built and dressed "Rodifer", our six foot wide animatronic spider. In addition, I created light plot and lighting design for the haunted maze as well as set up speakers, lights, pipe and drape, and troubleshooted technical equipment. The entire project lasted 9 months, with one week to set up and one night to operate the event.

When I was not working on the animatronic, I was working with the venue to install lighting fixtures, sound equipment, and simple structures. Check it out in the full walk-through here!
